Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge With their emo-punk songwriting, theatrical vocals, and neo-goth appearance, My Chemic Romance rose from the Due east Coast hole-and-corner to the forefront of modern stone during the early 2000s. They establish mainstream success in 2004 with the release of their platinum-selling sophomore album and major-label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. Two years later, they released the ambitious stone opera The Black Parade, which was certified triple platinum and included the hit singles "Welcome to the Black Parade," "Famous Concluding Words," and "Teenagers." The narrative-driven Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys appeared in 2010 and introduced '70s ability pop, psych rock, and proto-punk elements to the group's sound. My Chemical Romance officially ceased operations in 2013 but reconvened in 2019 for a reunion bear witness in Los Angeles and a brusque run of performances abroad. I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love My Chemical Romance'south debut, I Brought You lot My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, appeared in 2002 courtesy of New York'south Eyeball Records. Comparisons to Thursday were frequent; both bands hailed from New Jersey, both had recorded for Eyeball, and both combined punk-pop'south aggression with introspective, confessional lyrics. The anthology attracted a small cloak-and-dagger following, and My Chemical Romance jumped to the big leagues in 2003 by signing with Reprise Records. The following twelvemonth, they released Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, a platinum-selling album that featured cover art past Manner himself. Although critical reactions were mixed, the record produced several radio singles and popular MTV videos, including "I'one thousand Not Okay (I Hope)," "Helena," and "The Ghost of Y'all."

The record achieved platinum status by early 2007 and was followed by a live recording, Black Parade Is Expressionless!, in 2008.

Afterwards the rigorous touring for The Black Parade, the band took fourth dimension out to decompress, peculiarly the brothers Way, who both went through a number of changes, with Mikey dealing with anxiety issues related to touring and Gerard becoming a new father. With a renewed artistic vigor, the ring set to work demolishing and reconstructing their abased recordings, and in 2010 released Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Another concept anthology, information technology had a manic, Solar day-Glo free energy and more than of a punk-popular sound.

Conventional Weapons, Vol. 1 The band'south final release was a serial of five seven" singles entitled Conventional Weapons, released between October 2012 and Feb 2013, which collected the unreleased songs they had recorded during the sessions for Danger Days. Shortly thereafter, they appear they were disbanding, on March 22, 2013.
